Star clavos rustic nailheads. Unfinished cast iron. These Star design clavos are great for diy projects such as shutters, door trim, gates, fences, frames, furniture accents and more.
Size: Nailhead is 1 3/4 inches and the shaft is 1 1/4 inch.
There will be slight areas of visible rust which is a normal process for unfinished metal. You can easily paint these to the color of your choice. Spray paints work best and are easiest to use. If you are going to apply to an outdoor project such as shutters, gates, doors… we recommend that you use a Rustoleum type of paint on both the nailhead and the stem.
Note: Do not direct hammer the nailheads. You must drill a pilot hole first and then tap in with a rubber mallet. The stems are hand welded and will break off if you hit them directly on the head.
These are very rustic and hand cast. They are not machine made. Each one is unique. They are filled with old-world craftsmanship charm. These are hand forged. The stems are welded to the underside. Some may bend slightly during shipping.
